We had the best weather and the best turn out ever. The weekend started off with Terry leading the way from the Lake Monroe Park ramp on Friday all the way to Hontoon Island. I hear the water was smooth and clear like glass. The weather was perfect for a day on the water. Some more boats showed up Friday night with some spending the night on the boats and others in the cabins on the Island. On Saturday, Everyone started arriving around 10:00 a.m. By boat and many by car. I opened this cruise to anyone who wanted to attend and the only obligation was to bring a yummy dish to share. We made burgers and dogs while everyone else started setting out their dishes. I cannot even describe all of the incredible edibles we had. There were salads, cookies, veggies, pies, cakes, everything! After lunch, I organized a little poker walk on the Hontoon Island trails. The idea was to get everyone out on the trails for a walk together to enjoy a little fresh air. This turned out to be an icredible cruise trip with lots of participation that will hopefully be an indicator to how great out future trips will be this year. Next cruise is Caladesi Island March 6-8!
